3R ODOR-CON is ClO2, Chlorine Dioxide stabilized, and being stabilized it takes something to activate it. All odors are acid! The ClO2 breaks down the odor molecules. The Chlorine cracks the surface tension of the odor molecules, the oxygen invades and destroys the molecules. The odor is gone. Only enough ClO2 is released to control the amount of odor generated, the rest lays and waits until the next time it is needed, and so on and so on. 3R ODOR-CON is environmentally safe. It causes no damage to septic systems or sewage treatment plants.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
It helps break down all waste and paper, (you do not have to use special paper, any paper that fragments in water will do), cleans the tanks, cleans the valves, has no odor or perfume smell. It destroys odors by oxidation. There will be very little odor when you dump.
HOW TO HAVE CLEAN, ODOR FREE HOLDING TANKS
1. Dump the tanks, if they haven’t already been dumped. Black tank first, Gray second, gray water will flush
the black water from the hose.
2. Use proportionally, one ounce 3R ODOR-CON per 60-gallon black and gray water tanks. Add enough
water through commode into black water tank, to cover the bottom of the tank. (Five Gallons to a 60-
Gallon tank). Next add the required amount of 3R ODOR-CON in a ½ gallon milk jug filled with water. Who
ever goes to bed last should dump this into the commode. Let the solution sit in the commode until the
next person has to use the toilet. This will do two things: 1. Help clean the Gate Valve and 2. Remove the
urine from the porous sides of the plastic commode. Repeat this procedure for the Gray water tank. Add
the second ½ gallon with the appropriate amount of 3R ODOR-CON, dividing it between the kitchen sink,
bathroom sink, and shower. Do this before going to bed. It will keep the traps clean.
3. Start using your utilities as you normally would until the tanks are full.
4. DO NOT dump until tanks are full. Odors cling and are at the top of the tank, not down in it, and you must
get to the odor. If not full, top off with water before you dump, this will give you a complete flush, reach the
odor, and leave a coating of 3R ODOR-CON on the tank walls to attack the odor coming out of the new
effluent.
5. DO NOT RINSE AFTER YOU DUMP. Reason: 3R ODOR-CON leaves a coating that continues to work
removing the scum line and any newly generated odor in the black water tank.
6. Vehicles which are being placed in storage, or a holding position pending further use, should be treated the
same way as for active use. Also, check the traps in commode, bathroom sink, shower, and kitchen sink to
be sure they have water in them. After long periods of sitting, they can dry out.
7. If you must dump before the tanks are full, and can not top them off, add five (5) gallons of water and the
appropriate amount of 3R ODOR-CON to the tanks. Drive to your next location. If the trip is over 50 miles,
the tanks should have acquired a sufficient coating to control the odor.
